Where to get the best deal on tires for your car or truck
By: Enginebasics.com
We are always trying to help our readers get the best deals. That could be tires, turbo’s, pistons, rods, who knows. We realize you want it cheap. We have found three places that have always come through for us to get the best deals possible on tires and rims for our cars and trucks.
First, I would start with Ebay. You can get some great deals there. For a quick search use the following search box:
1. Tirerack.com Great please do get discounted tires. Tirerack has very fast shipping with a HUGE assortment and selection. Also, they are very helpful at helping you choose a specific tire or rim choice for your auto. Tirerack has also paired with many local tire shops to get your tires and rims mounted and balanced at a good rate.
2. Discount Tire A great selection. Not as big as tirerack.com, but close. Also they have many local stores so when you find that good deal you can at times pick it up same day, and also save HUGE on shipping. Another bonus, they PRICE MATCH. This is the secret with discount tire. They don’t advertise this very big, but if you find a cheaper deal, they will match it and then with store pick-up you can save the sometimes 80.00+ dollars you were about to spend on shipping.
3. onlinetires.com They are usually $3-$10 dollars cheaper than tirerack, but they are not as fast on the shipping and don’t stock all the tires they sell. Meaning, while every tire you get from tire rack is to your door in usually 3 days, it could be 2 weeks before you see anything from online tires, and they don’t tell you that. You then need to decide if the longer wait time is worth the money you save there between the two companies. Here is something else they have though. Off brand tires. They sell some tires that no one has ever heard of, but at prices so low it’s hard to believe. We have tried several of there “no name tires” on our daily driver/beater cars and loved them. While I would never trust these tires on a high performance application they did just fine on a vehicle that goes 3-4 miles a day to work and back. Look for some super discount tires here.
The nice part about all three sites is NO COUPONS NEEDED. The great deals on tires are already there and you can pick the tires up cheap.
We would like to hear from you.If you have any feedback on any of the companies above, or know of another place to get good deals on tires whether new or used, let us know! Click the contact us button in the left menu bar.
